Simpson Slipping Into Big Screen Daisy Dukes

ABC may not have picked up pop tart Jessica Simpson’s sitcom, which had her playing a reporter for an ‘Entertainment Tonight’ type show, but the casting news isn’t all bad for the blonde bombshell. Producers of the big screen version of 70’s TV staple ‘The Dukes of Hazzard’ have chosen Simpson to fill the cut-offs made famous by Catherine Bach way back when. The news comes as something as a surprise since another star better known for her rack than her singing, Britney Spears had been lobbying long and hard for the role. No doubt Simpson’s flawless body and increased profile from her MTV series ‘Newlyweds’ helped her land the role. Jessica, reportedly told Star magazine, “I wanna wear those shorts so bad!” Yeah, but not half as much as we want to see it. The Dukes of Hazzard begins filming this summer.

Angelina Jolie wants to be tied down

No, boys and girls, she’s not saying she wants to be married again. Pouty lipped Angelina Jolie says that she’ll know the perfect man when she meets him because he’ll want to tie her down. She told this month’s Allure magazine, “I’ve never been tied up. I have a feeling the person that does it will be the one. I think that’s what I’d like.” She says that she introduced her first two husbands, Jonny Lee Miller and Billy Bob Thornton, to the more violent side of sex, but neither of them was willing to take it as far as she wanted. She says, “A lot of my relationships just weren’t honest enough. So I took them down different paths toward violence or wildness… to try to find somebody to hold me down and make me feel. Portman Nixes Nude Scenes in Closer

Seems like young actress is having second thoughts about showing it all on the screen. Natalie, who first shot to fame at the tender age of of 13 in Luc Besson’s Leon, plays a stripper in the upcoming Mike Nichols film Closer and her role require some pretty steamy scenes, but now she doesn’t want moviegoers to see the full monty. The petite 23-year-old is okay with her topless shots, but she’s ordered the fully nude scenes she did to be cut from the movie and she claims her director was more than happy to do it. “He wants to see my bare ass much less than (even) my father would. He’s as or more protective of me than my parents are. So doing sexual, physical stuff for him felt very uncomfortable,” Natalie said.

Closer opens in the US on December 3rd. She can also be seen in the final Star Wars film next Spring.
